Instructions & General Information

1. Applicant organizations must be tax-exempt organizations.

2. Applicants are limited to two consecutive years of funding for a specific program.

3. This application must be fully completed with the information typed on the form. If additional space is required to complete a response, additional pages may be added.

4. Responses should be concise and provide enough information so that the Junior League of Springfield can evaluate the application.

5. Any attachments must be attached and clearly marked.  All applicants are responsible for providing  12 copies of the application packet to the Junior League of Springfield for distribution to the committee for review.

6. Applications may be submitted to the Junior League of Springfield anytime between July 1 and October 31 of the current year.

7. Deadline for Application: Completed applications must be submitted by October 31 of the current year to:

8. Applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis using the following criteria:

• community impact of the grant

• compatibility with the Junior League of Springfield’s purpose and position statements

• appropriate use of JLS monies

• applicant characteristics

• potential for community awareness

• quality of the proposal

• completeness.

9. Applicant organizations will be notified of approval status around the beginning of April of the current year.

10. Grant monies will be announced and awarded in April of the current year following execution of a contract between the Junior League of Springfield and the organization.
