Projects and Grants Press Release |
JLS members pride themselves on a 100-year history of volunteer training and community service. In the Springfield community, members have helped families in more than 150 programs through hands-on volunteer work, fundraising, and community grants. We also helped found vital social service organizations including the Ronald McDonald House and the Parent Help Line at St. John’s Hospital. JLS members enjoy a variety of social, educational, and leadership opportunities while working together to improve the community. Experienced League members also donate time serving on boards of directors for various local agencies, including the Ronald McDonald House, Springfield Children’s Museum, Leadership Springfield and more. Such service helps us to use our League leadership training, develops our potential as women, and keeps us informed about the needs of our community. If an organization wishes to have a JLS member serve on its Board, they may contact the current president by email at president@jlsil.org or call 787-7802.
