On March 15, 1939, 74 volunteer workers founded the Service League of Springfield. This was incorporated as the Service League of Springfield on November 2 of the same year. Their first project was a Placement Bureau, which filled requests for volunteer service. The Service League of Springfield affiliated with the Association of Junior Leagues of America and became the Junior League of Springfield in 1950. Through the power of our association, Junior Leagues strengthen communities by embracing diverse perspectives, building partnerships, and inspiring shared solutions. The Junior League of Springfield, Inc. reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins, who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to volunteerism. Our Mission |
